“Uncle Sam says no more fancy frills on cowboy boots, but he didn’t say we should cut the quality of Tony Lama cowboy boots,” Tony Lama, proprietor of this well-known boot manufacturing and shoe repairing concern, said Wednesday.
“As a matter of fact, you’ll get the same fine wear and comfort from Tony Lama boots that you have always gotten,” Mr. Lama said. “This is due to the fine quality materials and expert workmanship used in the making of these boots.
“Evidence of the reputation we have obtained for Tony Lama boots is the fact that these boots are shipped everywhere in the world. We have received orders from all over the United States and even orders from India and other foreign countries.
“Only expert bookmakers are employed in the making of these cowboy boots. All are interested in their work and take pride in it. All are buying War Bonds and taking part in other patriotic endeavors,” Mr. Lama continues.
“In addition to making quality boots, we also do fine shoe repairing. Conserve leather for the war and get your old shoes repaired here. We are the leading shoe repairer of the Southwest and this is also due to the fact that we do good work. Our prices are most moderate on shoe repairing.
“Come into our shop and see our cowboy boots or for good shoe repairing. The address of Tony Lama’s is 109 East Overland street,” said Mr. Lama.
How about some stories about El Paso's "Old West" days. Stories about Pat Garret as Sheriff, John Wesley Hardin, etc... bars, prostitution. All the things that were part of the "Old West". To myself, that is very interesting.
