Phil Lakin (Texas Western 1966)

My strong comliments to the UTEP football players at the Tulsa game on Saturday night. My seats were on the front row directly behind the visitors bench and are very close to the players-not more than 5'. Several "lowlife hecklers" were also located near these seats and throughout the game tried, in vain, to get the UTEP football players into some kind of meaningless dialog-The UTEP football players never, that I saw or heard, particitated in any dialog with these idiots and displayed a ton of class. Those of us listening to this were on the players side and sat in admiration of their control for the entire game. It is not all about winning!
