Hooper Vint, the 6-foot-10 freshman, got a few days off before the spring semester begins. Vint, who is out with a bulging disc in his back, got a brief trip home to Arkansas. He will almost certainly get a redshirt year, working as a freshman again next year.
Malcolm Moore, the 6-7 junior college transfer, is hobbling around on crutches these days. He had his surgery recently, correcting the torn ACL in his right knee. He is still unable to get around very well after the surgery, relying heavily on the crutches.
Tough break for both young men. And for the Miners.
As they say, things happen for a reason. Hopefully, they will both recover fully, come back stronger than ever next year and hopefully they can both get their year back.
Thanks for the update - as a reader of the EPT I had been eagerly awaiting some mention of their condition and eligibility for redshirt. Both players showed a lot of promise in their few games. I hope they can get their redshirt status and make it back next year.

Yes, thanks from me too. Would like an update, if possible, on how Randy is doing in Russia and whether or not Chrisitan Polk is playing pro somewhere. And here's hoping Julian gets up from the "farm team" soon to the Denver Nuggets.

Peprica,
Randy Culpepper is playing for a team in the Ukraine called Ferros and doing very well I believe he is leading the league in scoring and the team is in 3rd place..He is still up to his usual amazing dunks..you can see a pic of him from a game this week here http://www.flickr.com/photos/superleague_ua/6685898521/
Randy is also a new daddy w/ his son Randy Jr. being born a cpl months ago. If you use twitter you can follow him there @R_Culpepper (you have to request access to his tweets but he loves getting new followers)
Julian Stone was called back up earlier this week to the Denver Nuggets after 10 days in Idaho playing for the D League team, he played about 7 mins in his 1st regular season game and seems to be making progress every day. You can also follow him on twitter at @J_Stone5
I don't have much info on Christian Polk but you can follow him on twitter as well @CPolk41

I was beginning to wonder what was going to happen with Hooper. I really liked how he looked in the beginning of the season and hope he will come back from his back problems to be a solid contributor.
Thanks for the update on the older guys Ronnelp. I always try to follow them after thier UTEP careers.

Appreciate the update on Vint & Moore, Bill. Three additional questions:
- Who is the guy in street clothes that's been sitting on the bench?
- Where has Kevin Perry been?
- Is this message board available on mobile?
