Joe on Utepia already said it: UTEP basketball's victory over Memphis Wednesday night was more than a big win.
Loved watching Culpepper's steal late in the game. That was a big-time play. And the CBS Sports announcers in their post-game report brought up a possible changing of the guard in C-USA dominance. Big night.

Way to go Miners! Their might be a changing of the guard in cusa, every year we would come close to Memphis and we finally got over than hump~ Hopefully they dont try to steal Coach Barbee away after that big win, ITS time to build another utep basketball legacy!

I'm proud of UTEP but they need to prove this win wasn't a fluke by winning out the rest of conference play. Losing crap games like the one in Houston was all too real and shows just how this team can fall apart as well.
Heres to hoping for the best... Go Miners!

Hold on folks! Let's not get too carried away with this regular season victory over Memphis. Yes, it was a great win for the Miners. However, I'm not going to view it as Memphis passing the torch to UTEP just yet. For me, I want the Miners to win the Conference USA title. Then we can talk about "a changing of the guard" in C-USA. After all, Memphis is still the defending conference champion.

First of all, way to go Miners. Good job coaches aswell. I take all kinds of crap because I live in Lubbock, Tx. I wear miners gear daily. I was at the Utep vs Texas Tech. I'm was disappointed in the defense the Miners played in the second half. I was losing faith. Keep it up, and we will keep supporting you. See you guys in the NCAA Tournament !!!!!!!!!

Congrats Miners! This is the UTEP team that I know....this should be a huge boost to get them back in the TOP 25 where they belong.

The football team upsetting the #12 Houston Cougars or the basketball team snapping Memphis' 64-game conference winning streak ON THE ROAD...
