My picks
EAST 1 ECU 2 S. Miss. 3/4 tossup between Memphis & Marshall 5 UCF 6 UAB.
WEST 1/2/3 three way toss up between Houston, Tulsa and UTEP. 4 Rice 5 SMU 6 Tulane. Hope the Miners pull it off.

East C-USA
1. ECU
2. UCF
3. Southern Miss
4. Memphis
5. UAB
6. Marshall

West C-USA
1. Tulsa
2. UTEP
3. Rice
4. Houston
5. Tulane
6. SMU

I hope UTEP can prove me wrong cuz i would love to see the Miners play in the C-USA championship game.... GO MINERS!!!!

Orangefever

If you look at Coach Price's history, well, then this is "The Year". I predict that UTEP "Shocks the world", wins CONF-USA and goes to a BCS bowl. Miner fans, get ready for a wild ride ! Go Miners ! Yes We Can !

Good podcast. What I don't agree with is that Houston is 'by far' the class of the West division. True they have the best talent but its not by a long shot, and the most talented team does not always finish first. A lot of it has to do with the schedule and the Cougars play the 2nd and 3rd most talented teams (UTEP, Tulsa) both on the road. Hard to believe they'll win both of those. I'd say the standings end like this:
EAST
1 East Carolina
2 Southern Miss
3 UCF
4 Memphis
5 Marshall
6 UAB
WEST
1 UTEP
2 Houston
3 Tulsa
4 SMU
5 Rice
6 Tulane

I really think the West is better than the East this year and UTEP has a huge advantage in playing UH & Tulsa at home as well as the 3 worst crossover opponents from the East (Marshall, Memphis, UAB). But then again my guess is as good as my 3-year-old cousin's...

BOOGIEMAN

Easy to answer that question,...an emphatic, NO!!!!!!
NO DEFENSE SPELLS DOOM FOR UTEP!!!!!
So what's new,....again?
I attend the games only to have something to do, but I go with the expectation that UTEP will lose the majority of its games.
It's just fun to go mingle with the crowd, eat and drink, and just enjoy a football game!

Miners in a BCS bowl game? I'll have some of what he's having. I pick the Miners to finish 4th or 5th in conference. Fourth gets us into a bowl, fifth and we stay home.

ray

trevor should have a break-out season....go miners!!!!

Orangefever

A break-out season for sure. I'm with you "ray". As for "gaston", he says he'll have some of what I'm having. Come on over gaston and say "Yes We Can" and enjoy the ride. And as for gaston's prediction, well, how does he figure a 5th in CONF-USA "stays home". Do your homework gaston, here are the bowl games CONF-USA are tied into......

Go Miners ! Yes We Can !

gaston

Fifth and a losing record precludes the Miners from an invite to a bowl.

Orangefever

gaston, think about what you're saying....only 4 teams from CONF-USA are going to bowls. r ya kidding me?

Just to jolt Joe Utep goes 7-5 and BOWLING.
