Fabens Cotton Valley Little League loses in Championship game

The Fabens Cotton Valley Little League’s run to Williamsport ended late Wednesday night.

Cotton Valley was shutout by Southwest Lubbock 14-0 in the championship game of the Sectional Tournament in Lubbock.

Cotton Valley defeated Northern Midland 3-2 in the semifinals Tuesday night for the right to play Southwest Lubbock.

Southwest Lubbock advances to the Southwest Regional Tournament in Waco, Aug. 3-9, one step from representing the Southwest Region in the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pa.
