The reason tickets for a Sept. 19 Sun Bowl stop by One Direction will go on sale next week is simple.
With prices ranging from $39.50 to $99.50 for most tickets, and VIP packages ranging from $225-$495, there's a lot of money to be made for a show that could seat, unofficially, up to 50,000 screaming teenage girls. Or more.
Prices were posted earlier today on the Ticketmaster site.
Reserved floor seats are $99.50.
They're $59.50 and $99.50 for bowl seating on the east and west sides of the stadium.
Reserved seats are $39.50 and $79.50 in the north end zone, opposite the stage.
Those are base prices and don't include service fees.
There are various VIP packages.
Platinum seats, which are considered the best of the floor seats that are closest to the stage, will go for $235, $275, $375 and $495 for a pair.
The Where We Are Tour Package, which comes with a ticket and some souvenirs, are $225.
The Live While We're Young VIP Party package, which includes a seat and even more perks (but, alas, no meeting with Harry Styles and Co.), are $350.
The stage configuration includes a B stage in the middle of the stadium floor seating area, connected to the stage by a lengthy catwalk.
Presales are going on now.
Tickets go on sale at noon Dec. 7 at the UTEP Ticket Center, Ticketmaster outlets, ticketmaster.com and 800.745.3000.
