El Chapo de Sinaloa and Los Kumbia Kings are among the acts that will play a benefit for local radio veteran Jose Luis Garcia, who is hospitalized in a coma.
The benefit for the former KBNA personality, billed as "Baile Homenaje A Jose Luis," will be at 7 p.m. July 3 at the Coliseum.
Tickets are $40, with six-seat VIP tables selling for $750.

I'm betting he's hoping you do. The singer, guitarist and humorist, best known for his versions of the Doors' "Light My Fire" and the Christmas song "Feliz Navidad," performs at 8 p.m. July 13 at the Plaza Theatre.
Feliciano, 67, continues to record and tour, though his commercial heyday was in the '60s and '70s. In fact, he was recording English- and Spanish-language albums before the world had ever heard of Shakira. His most recent English album was a tribute to Elvis Presley.

• The Inn of the Mountain Gods has lined up a tantalizing taste of Texas roots music with the Fabulous Thunderbirds and Texas Tornados at 8 p.m. July 31.

The Mescalero casino also has booked appearances by British chef and "Restaurant: Impossible" host Robert Irvine at 6 p.m. June 29 ($50), rappers Baby Bash and MC Magic at 8 p.m. July 5 ($20, $35, $45, $55 and $65), and a Highwaymen tribute act at 10:30 a.m. July 7 (no ticket info).

• Mike Hamilton, Billy Townes and Sha'Vonne Williams will be among the performers for the Victory Warriors' "Soul Food for All Souls" Juneteenth celebration.
It mixes soul music with soul food, a nice way to celebrate emancipation, don't you think?
Saxman Hamilton and Joe Estala and the Gospel Choir will perform a dinner show from 5:30-7:30 p.m. June 15.
Hamilton joins pianist Townes for a lunch show from 1-3 p.m. June 16.
Sha'Vonne and the Vibe play a dinner show from 5:30-7:30 p.m. June 16.
All of the shows will be at the Victory Warriors Academy, 4601 Hondo Pass.

Seven local bands are competing to win a free music video by El Paso's DoubleScope Films, which has teamed up with the dealership on a series called the "DB Sessions."
They include Electric Social, who played this year's Neon Desert Music Festival. Also in the running are: Avindale, the Kilohertz, Lightning at the Opera, the Mike Minjarez Band, Severe and Super Flats.
All of the bands have appeared on the series. The top three vote-getters will get a second apparance on DB Sessions and a crack at that free video.
