Ang Lee won best director for "Life of Pi," a slight upset over Steven Spielberg, who had been favored for his work on "Lincoln."
But Lee's the most artful, and diverse of the two, and it's good Hollywood acknowledged that.
He also won for "Brokeback Mountain" in 2005, and his beautiful "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" won best foreign film in 2000.
That's the fourth award for "Life of Pi." Wonder if it's going to take best picture. Looks like it.
