PBS knows a good thing when it has one.
It's rolling out special fundraising screenings of the first hour of the third season of its hit series "Downton Abbey."
El Paso's KCOS will have a benefit reception at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 13, followed by a 7:30 p.m. screening in the El Paso Community Foundation's Foundation Room, 333 N. Oregon.
It's $50 for the reception and screening.
The screening alone is free, but seating is limited and reservations are limited to two people per reservation. There's no limit on at a time.

Las Cruces' KRWG will have a showing at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 13 at the Good Samaritan Society, 3011 Buena Vida Circle, in Las Cruces.

The third season of the "Masterpiece Theatre" period piece, which introduces Shirley MacLaine to the cast, will run Jan. 6-Feb. 17.
Both stations will begin airing repeats from season 2 on Sundays beginning Dec. 9.
