Robert H. Cameron is a longtime Kern resident who wanted to do something nice for military veterans on Sunday, Veterans Day.
"I think they need a morale boost," says Cameron, 70, who served two years in the Army.
He hopes to boost them with a free concert of patriotic music, performed by Steve Haddad and the Quintessential Brass at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 11 in UTEP's Fox Fine Arts Recital Hall.
The concert will include "Stars and Stripes Forever," a medley of military anthems and Charles Ives' "Variations on America."
"It's my gift to the community," Cameron says.
