Turns out Plaza Theatre officials won't need to close that one-block section of Main Street behind the theater on Monday.
Originally, they planned to close it Monday and Tuesday for the "Wicked" load-in, which takes about 2.5 days.
But theater official Bryan Crowe said that theater staff was able to work out the load-in to avoid Monday's closure.
They still intend to shut down that part of the street, between Santa Fe and El Paso streets, so the tour's 15 semi trucks can be unloaded on Tuesday.
The show opens Wednesday at 8 p.m. and there are still tickets left for opening night, though the Thursday, Friday and Saturday shows are selling very well, with only single tickets left for the weekend performances.
The national, Equity tour will be at the Plaza for 16 shows Wednesday through Feb. 12.
