They've come to suck your blood, well, ticket money anyway.
Actually, the UTEP theater and dance department do quality work. They've recently put tickets on sale for their 2011-2012 season, which includes a Halloween appropriate production of "Dracula" in late October.
The season opens, for the first time, with a dance concert called "Shallow Waters Bury Me Deep/Poco Rio Me Pilla Profunda," which takes its inspiration from what's going on in Juarez and our proximity to it.
Performances are 8 p.m. Sept. 21-24 and 2:30 p.m. Sept. 25 in the Fox Fine Arts's Studio Theatre. Tickets are $9, $8 for non-UTEP students, seniors, military and groups, $7 for UTEP students and children 11 and under.
The theater side kicks in with "Dracula" at 8 p.m. Oct. 28, 2:30 and 7:30 p.m. Oct. 30, 8 p.m. Oct. 31 and Nov. 3-5 and 2:30 p.m. Nov. 6 in the Fox Fine Arts' Wise Family Theatre.
Tickets are $12, $10 for non-UTEP students, seniors, military and groups, $9 for UTEP students and children 11 and under.
UTEP's annual production of "A Christmas Carol" will be at 2:30 p.m. Dec. 11, 8 p.m. Dec. 16-17 and 2:30 p.m. Dec. 18 in the Wise. Tickets are $12, $10 and $9.
The dance department, which usually has only one concert per season, will stage another locally inspired program called "Pachuco Zoot: A Tale of Identity" at 8 p.m. Feb. 10-11 , 2:30 p.m. Feb. 12, 8 p.m. Feb. 17-18 and 2:30 p.m. Feb. 19 in the Wise. Tickets are $12, $10 and $9.
A production of Anton Chekov's love story "The Seagull" will be staged in the Studio Theatre at 8 p.m. March 14-17 and 2:30 p.m. March 18. Tickets are $9, $8 and $7.
The season will end with Michael Frayn's comedic look at the theater world, "Noises Off," at 8 p.m. April 20-21 and 26-28 and 2:30 p.m. April 22 and 29 in the Wise Family Theatre. Tickets are $12, $10 and $9.

• The Hot PAWtooties Shadow Cast will perform to a midnight screening of local fave "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" at midnight Sept. 10 at the Scottish Rite Temple Theatre, 301 W. Missouri, a cool place to watch that.
It's a 17-and-over show.
Tickets are $10, $8 students, military and seniors with ID.
It's a fundraiser for Pets Alive-El Paso, for its feral cat sterilization program.
You're encouraged to dress up as your favorite depraved character and do "The Time Warp," but please don't bring props.
They will have venue-approved prop bags for sale for $2.
