The last time comedian George Lopez was here, he set a house attendance record.
That was before he got his talk show on TBS.
The host of "Lopez Tonight" will return to the Don Haskins Center at 8 p.m. Aug. 14.
Tickets are $46.75, $56.75 and $66.75, plus service charges (which probably will be hefty).
They go on sale at 10 a.m. Monday at the University Ticket Center, Ticketmaster outlets, ticketmaster.com and 800.745.3000.
Lopez last performed here on March 1, 2009. He broke his own, three-year-old attendance record that night with a turn out of 12,800. The previous record was 12,578 in on June 3, 2006.
The August show will be his fifth appearance at the Don in six years. Lopez has been performing here since 1986, when he was a club comic.

This clown has run out of material...thus the filling in with trash, foul language, etc.,just an overall bum. Surprising is the fact that there's plenty of Raza that subscribes to that kind of "comedy". I 'member' laughing and enjoying his work in the earlier appearances. I paid good money to be three rows from the stage with my wife and chose to walk out. Never again!

The language doesn't bother me but I agree if you've seen him enough you already know the punch lines to his jokes. Whether it was on his sitcom or his talk show he just recycles everything. He's turned into a caricature of himself. Seems like he's creating more stereotypes rather than breaking them down.
