And another one bites the dust.
Just got word from someone at Widespread Panic's management that the jam band's Nov. 3 show at the Chavez has been postponed due to the dreaded scheduling conflicts.
The contact couldn't say what the new date would be.
I haven't been able to reach anyone at the theater to verify the info. Remember, postponement implies a new date will be announced. Cancellation means it's dead in the water.
I also don't have any details about refunds. Presumably, refunds will be available at the point of purchase. If it really is rescheduled, ticketholders may be advised to hang on to their tickets, which typically are honored on the new date.

FYI: ticket master is not refunding the $12 service fee per ticket. What a rip off. As is we hardly get bands from this decade. This really sucks. Sounds like the same old story. Basically, they did not sell enough tickets. So, we are not worth the trouble. We need a venue that can accomodate bands that don't fit the typical El Paso music scene. Then maybe, we could get some better bands to stop in our city, instead of passing us by for Phoenix, AZ or Dallas, TX. In the past, all postponed shows translated into cancelations. Seriously, how many times does this have to happen before a change is made?
