UTEP student and former King of Pop Fanatics fan club co-president Rebecca Reza, 30, is at the Michael Jackson Memorial going on at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. She will text me from time to time with updates and observations.
Her first comes in response to my own reaction to Stevie Wonder's chilling, powerful rendition of "Never Dreamed You'd Leave in Summer." It choked me up.
My text: "Stevie. Wow."
Her reply: "We're all balling our eyes out. Blanket (Jackson's youngest child, 7) is playing with a Michael doll. Paris (who's 11) has broken down a few times."
I don't know how often Rebecca will be able to text from the ceremony, but we'll post them as we get them.
