Doug Pullen writes about the national music scene for elpasotimes.com.
Doug, enjoy your work, welcome back (belatedly!) A few questions,"government"? "smoke and mirrors"? "Trample civil liberties"? Great, in the Living section, more lefty talking points. Clinton, Kerry, and host of other leftwing Democrat icons advocated regime change in Iraq, directly and in those words. I presume you include them in the term "government"? I hope so. Secondly, unless you're a terrorist making an international inbound phone call to comrades in sleeper cells in the U.S. you shouldn't have to worry about your civil rights getting "trampled". As for "smoke and mirrors' that wasn't smoke or mirrors that brought down the World Trade Towers and our valiant, all-volunteer military haven't been dodging "smoke or mirrors" for seven plus years. Please, I know it's ol' lefty Springsteen, he's kind of like Rosie o'Donnell to me, I'm aware of their work, but I ignore them both, in other words I find them irrelevant. We are about the same age, NOBODY I knew or grew up with in the 70's bought Springsteen. He just doesn't rock out enough for us. Not everyone that enjoys music from the 1970's forward cares what Springsteen's politics are. Sames for Ted Nugent, although he actually rips up his axe. I hope future work is deviod of the same old cliche's. Obviously opinion pieces range far and wide and can include views from the same. I'll watch to see that I don't have to skip Doug Pullen bylines in the future because i seek refuge FROM politics when I read past section A. Newspapers are a dying media form, I hope you don't get downsized in Obama's economy.

OK.
Back on topic, how can there be a pre-sale if you can get in free with a donation?
