This year's version of the El Paso Tigers football team has been impressive. Going into their fifth game on Thursday night vs. Jefferson, the Tigers are 4-1 overall and 2-0 in District 2-4A. The Tigers have gotten better with each passing week for coach Robert Morales, who has helped make the Tigers program relevant again.
The Tigers have a good mix of running and passon on offense and the defense has been steady. Senior QB Bryant Wolf has been tremendous center center this year. Wolf is a factor both with his arm and with his legs. If Wolf stays healthy the Tigers should make the playoffs and perhaps battle for a top 2 spot in District 1-4A play.
