Strong year for El Paso high school football's junior/senior classes
With the announcement that Burges standouts Aaron and Alvin Jones will be playing football beginning next fall for UTEP, it showcased what a strong year it has been for Division I prospects. In addition to the Jones brothers, Franklin offensive lineman Derek Elmendorff will sign with Texas-San Antonio, Andress quarterback Ryan Metz will sign with UTEP, Patrick Pettis has an offer from Ole Miss, Franklin offensive lineman Connor Potts is headed to Harvard and Coronado defensive back Nick Annabi is going to Columbia. Next year's senior class is led by Montwood's Warren Redix and Chapin's Jaylan Addison, who are both receiving tons of interest from Division I schools. Addison reportedly has an offer from New Mexico State and Redix reportedly has strong interest from San Diego State.
