Americas showed a great deal of composure and big-play ability in its 38-35 win against Montwood on Friday night.
The Trailblazers jumped out to a 28-0 lead, fell behind 35-28 and then scored the final 10 points of the game to pull out the win. Americas is now 3-0 in District 1-5A and has a chance to stay atop the district standings when it faces No. 1 Franklin on Thursday night.
Americas came out ready to play against the Rams and were the more aggressive team in the first half. Isak Washington is one of the best players in the city as a dual threat at receiver and running back and running back Javier Hinojos has proven to be a reliable running back replacing the departed Jack Fields.
Americas has improved quite a bit since the start of the year and it faces a big challenge against Franklin, but it does so with plenty of momentum. Franklin has to be careful of Americas' offense, which had several big plays in the win against Montwood, including big runs by Hinojos and Washington.

Before that I was in a contraction phase for many months, thinking and contemplating, doing lots of reading, turning inward, reassessing my priorities.

This is such a great resource that you are providing and you give it away free. I love seeing website that understands the value of providing a quality resource for free. It’s the old what goes around comes around routine.
