The Franklin boys basketball program has a new coach in former player Todd Bostic, who served as an assistant for four years under previous coach Carl Bailey, who retired earlier this year.
Bostic, 2002 graduate of Franklin, has earned praise from Bailey and current members of the Franklin program for his energy and strong basketball knowledge. Bostic, who played college basketball, is eager to get started. He comes from a coaching background, his father Don was a college coach, and he simply ready to continue the strong tradition at Franklin.
Bostic played on the 2002 squad which went to the Elite 8 of the Class 5A playoffs and was an assistant coach on the Cougars squad which went to the third round of the 5A playoffs two years ago. Overall it was a very good hire for Franklin. Bostic wants to be at the school and he loves teaching the game and bringing new ideas to the program. He has lots to build on at Franklin and he's had a chance to learn from a variety coaches over his career.
