Burges star RB/DB Aaron Jones and Franklin OT Derek Elmendorff earned some preseason recognition when they were named to the Dave Campbell's Magazine presason all-state team in Class 4A and 5A respectively.
Jones is El Paso's top skill player and he was a big reason Burges improved from two wins to nine wins last year and he'll be a big factor in how far Burges goes this year. He's an all-around good football player and I wouldn't be shocked if he's postseason all-state at the end of the year.
Meanwhile, Elmendorff has tons of potential at right tackle. He missed part of last year with an ankle injury, but he has recovered nicely and is ready for this year. He is big and strong and will anchor a very good Franklin offensive line. If healthy, he'll make the Cougars one of the best offenses in the city once again. And a healthy Elmendorff, who is a UTEP pledge, could also find his name on the postseason all-state list with a strong season.

Buzz on the scene, there is shouting, a call out, there are women who take their children with bandannas on the old man . then again look at the crowd behind a dark hole, too, Yang Weiming white , is engaged in the kiln tall black thing! But not the siege, but not around the attack, men and women are on the scene heard dialect yelled a slip of a slide
