The San Elizario softball team earned a nice 7-6 win against Parkland on Tuesday in a District 2-4A showdown. San Elizario already owns a win against Riverside in district play and Parkland had knocked off Canutillo prior to Tuesday's game.
On Tuesday, the Eagles rallied from a 6-3 deficit to pick up the win.
San Elizario has a nice mixture of pitching, defense and hitters on its team and it is much improved from last year's team, which nearly made the playoffs.
Parkland isn't a bad team either and should also challenge for a district title. The next time these two teams play should be as entertaining. The Matadors have good young talent on its roster and on Tuesday it showed it has a pretty good offensive unit at times.
