Coming down

Construction workers team up to move wooden planks to ground level as hey de-construct scaffolding for work at the new United Bank of El Paso del Norte Jan. 16. The workers hand down both the metal bars and the wooden planks which make up the scaffolding and the scaffold is taken down level by level. Work is continuing on the office building and parking garage.

                                                           

Scenes from a snowstorm

El Paso's first snow of the winter season dropped about four inches of snow on the city and surrounding areas last week. The storm stranded motorists, slowed or shut down businesses, but also allowed for some fun for the residents. The four inches which fell in less than 24 hours accounts for more than El Paso's yearly average of 6.6 inches. 
                


 

Readying to play ball

USC quarterback Conner Sullivan cast a shadow on a wall as he passed time waiting for teammates who were shopping inside the Starr Western Wear store by playing catch against a wall outside the store Dec. 29. Sullivan said he was practicing his baseball fielding skills. He added he plays multiple positions on the baseball team.
