Pushup for a purpose

Al Soto performed pushups Nov. 25 at San Jacinto Plaza as part of his effort to get signatures for a petition asking for an injunction to stop the demolition of City Hall in favor of a new AAA baseball stadium. Soto offered to do two pushups or situps for each signature. He said he wants the demolition put on hold so that voters can vote on the stadium in May 2013. He added that five others are also looking for petition signatures in other parts of the city.
