Santa, who is a retired school teacher, and his assistant, Pat Curiel, who works with special needs children, led the session where the children had their picture taken with Santa in an environment set up to support the needs of the children. Christine Candelaria, mother of Matthew Candelaria, who has cerebral palsy and Rubenstein-Taybi syndrome, said it was wonderful experience for the children. She said the children don't get to come out alot and this was a great opportunity for them to have fun. "They love it," she said.
