Is this all about avoiding a full scale disagreement with the governor? If Skandera is qualified give her the job. If she isn't qualified say no. When we are near the bottom in educational performance, shouldn't the legislature be helping improve the educational system? Then let them start with and up or down vote. She has a track record that alludes to her qualifications.


We should absolutely force a hearing. Linda Lopez has been dragging her feet on this since 2011 and I think at this point that teachers, principals, students, administrators and parents would very much like to speak up about what's going on with our schools. $93 million in Special Ed money that needs to be paid back? Secret lists?
