Ann Southcombe

I am so proud of Nate Cote for being courageous to stand up to the hunting culture to stop senseless killing of innocent animals for fun and games.

There is a huge movement now to stop the same in a small town of Holley New York. A fire department sponsors a "Squirrel Slam". Kids as young as 13 are paired with an adult to kill as many squirrels as they can in one day to win a prize for the largest dead squirrel. To make this event even more inhumane is squirrels are having babies now (despite the officials say they don't have babies until March!) so most likely the largest squirrel killed is a mother and her babies will die of starvation.
Hopefully Rep. Cote's bill is just the beginning!!
