GOP keeps its team intact
Republican state senators on Thursday night re-elected Sen. Stuart Ingle as their floor leader.
Ingle, of Portales, has held the job of minority leader since 2000.
Sen. William Payne of Albuquerque will continue to serve as minority caucus whip and Sen. Steve Neville of Aztec retained the job of caucus chairman.
"Our members know what to expect from us, and the Senate as a whole knows that the minority leaders who were voted by acclamation tonight will continue to work across the aisle for the good of the entire state,” Ingle said.
Democrats control the Senate 25-17.
