And towards the end of last season, which EP Times blogger was in favor of pulling Garrett Simpson's redshirt - instead of letting Sullivan step in? Sullivan was impressive last year (especially for a frosh) and is the favorite "today" - and once the A&M QB arrives? It will be interesting to see how UTEP hangs on to and/or utilizes so many talented QBs.

Pretty sure they'll be battling to hold the clipboard once Showers arrives.

Showers will be the starting QB when the Lobos visit the Sun Bowl.

As I see it, the only hope that UTEP has this year is if Showers is waht everyone anticipates he is and he can run like hell. If not, we are back to the same ol' same ol'.

Such pessimism George. UTEP has other offensive weapons like Nate Jeffries and solid TEs. With the softer schedule and some good blocking up front, this team should be able to score some points with or without Showers.
