UTEP gives scholarship to a kicker

Looking to address a probelm area, UTEP has given a scholarship to Las Vegas High kicker Jay Mattox. He told the Las Vegas Sun that UTEP's willingness to offer him a scholarship, as well as a hotel clerk's interest in the Miner football program, helped him decide.
