The son of UTEP defensive coordinator Andre Patterson, center A.C. Patterson has never really played for his father other than a little bit his freshman year in Colorado when Andre was between his jobs with the Denver Broncos and UNLV.
And he still won't play for him, since A.C. is a center.
"When I was in second grade at Southlake Carroll (Andre was with the Dallas Cowboys), they asked who could snap the ball," A.C. said. "I raised my hand. I've been a center ever since."
A.C. and his mother have been living in Las Vegas so he could finish his senior year at Bishop Gorman High and what he is most looking forward to is the family reuniting in El Paso.
