Act 1:
It happened in Sunday. After a confrontation with municipal police forces in the state of Nuevo León, two men were detained by municipal forces. One of them was injured and he was taken to the Hospital by military men in a Navy helicopter.
Act 2:
It was Monday and the detained man was dead. He didn’t die at the Hospital. His wrapped body was found in a wasteland with signs of having been tortured.
Act 3:
Navy officials said that the man was alive when he was dropped off at the hospital. Local police said they are going to investigate what exactly happened.
Final Act:
Your guess is as good as mine

"dropping from the helicopter" may be a clue. The hospital didn't do it. A harsh reality is that all soldiers are trained killers; they are not trained policemen. We learned that in Vietnam, Kosovo, Iraq, now Afghanistan. To a soldier, everyone is the enemy. My guess is same as yours: the soldiers were angry, assumed the man was guilty, and exacted a confession, translated as "telling us what we expect to hear." Or, possibly, not cooperating, or killed during "extraction." Muy triste, man's humanity to man.
I doubt that many believe the police will ever reveal the truth.
