A few El Pasoans may remember former KTSM reporter and sometimes sports anchor Neil Simon, who worked at the station from 2000 to 2002.
Lately, he's been making quite a name for himself not only as a spokesman for government human rights groups in Washington, D.C., and now Copenhagen, Denmark, but he's also made his first documentary featuring the survivors of a World War II Japanese internment camp in Santa Fe.
Simon is asking for the public's help in ensuring the documentary's distribution among museums and schools in New Mexico. So far he's raised a little less than $4,000, but needs at least $2,000 more to help with the distribution.

Also, props to former KDBC photog, Ray Arzate for his documentary "Building The Highway to Mars" for its inclusion in the 2011 International Black Film Festival of Nashville.
