Stand-up comedian and actor Dane Cook via Twitter offered his condolences in the death of an El Paso teenager killed in traffic crash.
Jonathan “Jon” Cervoni of Eastwood High School and Aaron Carrillo of Montwood High School were killed Friday night by a suspected drunk driver. The 16-year-old boys were on the side of the road helping a friend whose car had stalled when they were hit by a pickup driving on the shoulder of Loop 375.
On Saturday, a friend of Cervoni via Twitter messaged Cook telling him that Cervoni was a fan and asked Cook to speak out against drunk driving.
“I'm truly sorry to hear about @joncervoni passing away bc of a drunk driver. It's an unfortunate/unnecessary tragedy,” Cook responded Saturday on the micro-blogging site.

FIRST, sorry to hear that such young people lose their lives. Great tragedy. BUT I think it is irresponsible for Mr. Cook, the El Paso Times and all of us, to also act in an irrational manner and convict this man without knowing any of the facts. This man was ALLEGEDLY drunk. The facts are, there were two lives lost, and a man is innocent UNTIL proven guilty, right? Right.

Yea.... Just like the kid that killed the EPPD officer, only he dissappeared to Mexico never to be put on trial. This drunk @ss will probaly do the same/similar thing. These fawks should NEVER be allowed to bail out. After the trial IF they are found to be not guilty then and ONLY THEN let them walk free. People DIED because of this fawking drunk. Tell their parents that he is "innocent until proven guilty" see if that makes them feel better about the death of their sons.

Too true. The accused dude was allegedly drunk. For all we know, he was driving fast on the shoulder of the road because he was returning from a late-night bible study class and was distracted while reaching for the good book that fell on the floor of his car. Oh, and the dude only appeared drunk because he was exhausted after volunteering all day at a local soup kitchen. The poor dude is just another misunderstood victim of society.

This is to 2 cents, He was drunk and I know because I was there. U were not. So don't speak to things u know nothing about. People who stick up for this dude must be related to him. He is and will be found guilty. These were great kids and were taken way too soon by someone who chose to do the wrong thing.
And to Willard, u are exactly right. This poor misunderstood drunk was probably drinking the blood of Christ at church before he came speeding down the loop.

@ Tori... I think Willard was just being sarcastic trying to prove a point to 2 cents. No reason for name calling. Chill out! Let God be his judge... and the jury of course! If he was drunk, he deserves what's coming to him.

Its just so obvious that he is guilty... I mean how do you plead not guilty to this or even go with the innocent until proven guilty plea its just a crock of sh1t. I really hope this guy gets what he deserves and what he deserves is not good.

@ Brandie
You were there??? REALLY? And did you administer all the sobriety test to him too? Are you a police officer?? Or did you stand there and judge him, very Christian like may I add, and decide on your own that he was drunk??
Obviously you and Willard Shmekel can't read very well if you misunderstood the point. The point is that this is the USA, you are innocent until proven guilty. He will have a trial and IF, and most likely, found guilty, THEN you can say without a doubt that he was intoxicated. But for now, your bias views, obviously, are making you act irrational and sound really ignorant, who stands there and says they KNOW just because they were there. You're not in any position to claim that fact. And you know it. There is a reason every news stations stated ALLEGED.
Note: I have NO relation to anybody involved. None.what.so.ever.

In my personal opinion...only God is the judge,we are not a perfect persons..but only God knows why him and why the boys..are in the same day at that time,we never take the position of judge because all we have family and we don't know who is the next..it's easy say something about the crash, but not only 2 families are destroyed..the family of him is destroy too, maybe he has family, children we do not..if he lives 1 or 50 years they will be on your mind all the time, every moment....that is worst then been on jail...

Hector Tellez was charged with a DWI and two counts of intoxicated manslaughter, he was then taken to the county jail. He obviously was drunk. What's wrong with you people?
Jonathan and Aaron were two of my close friends, please mind what you say because your comments are offensive.
