KTSM multimedia journalist Matt Rivers is leaving El Paso after an 11-month stint here.
The good news is he's leaving for a bigger market -- KSAT in San Antonio.
Rivers' last day at KTSM is July 7. The station is already looking for his replacement, according to this posting.
Rivers said he'll miss El Paso, especially covering such hard-hitting fare such as this story, but is looking forward to covering the goings-on in San Antonio.

Noooo!!!! I'm so sad to see him go! He's an excellent journalist. KTSM needs to get it together. They're losing great people.

El Paso News Stations are loosing NOTEWORTHY journalists! as What's going on??? El Paso needs to get competitive with other markets so that we don't continue loosing reporters...

El Paso has always been a place where journalists perfect their skills, and then leave for a bigger and better market.

El Paso's loss is San Antonio's gain. Why don't we all move to SA with him! Rivers is a very credible reporter.

Drat.. I liked Matt Rivers. I didn't see his farewell if they had one.
Oh well he seemed so young too, good for him for moving up so quickly. I just wish we could keep the good talent here in town.
