Valles out in Austin

Michelle Valles, the former KTSM-Channel 9 anchor, will be leaving her job in the CBS affiliate in Austin by the end of the year. She said she will not renew her contract when it expires on Dec. 15.

Valles hosted Austin Live, a news and entertainment show on KEYE-TV. She has been at that station since 2008. She also worked as the main anchor on KXAN, the NBC station in Austin. She left that station after a DWI arrest.

No word yet on what Valles, an El Paso native and Bel Air High School graduate, will do next. According to an Austin media blog, though, she is not ruling out a return to a more traditional news show.

She should come back and replace that horrible man known as Oralia Ortega. I heard that woman doesn't leave the station because you can't get her gigantic nest of hair out the door. A friend of mine works at that station and told me that she tries her best to get every one fired. She should fire herself, she's GAWD AWFUL.
