It could be an April Fools Day joke, but it appears that Trevor Connor has been "let go" from KTSM-TV Channel 9 (cable Chanel 10).
Connor announced on Thursday that his last day at the NBC affiliate is April 23. He has served as reporter and fill-in anchor for the morning show for about two years in El Paso. He also wrote sports stories for a national high-school sports Web site.
There's no indication or reason for the split, but Connor did say that he has several vacation days saved up so his on-air time will be limited between now and his official last day.
Connor is the second reporter at the KTSM/KDBC-TV Channel 4 partnership to leave in the last month. Reporter Ramon Herrera left last week for a reporting/anchor job in a smaller market in North Carolina.

I never heard of the guy but this is a terrible tragedy for him and his family. I hope that he can get a gig somewhere so as to put food on the table for mother and baby.

I like it when Ken calls me "folks." It reminds me if simpler times when I would sit with the widow next door who had lost her husband in the war. We'd rock on the front porch and chat and then she'd bring me a coffee.
Finally, all of this talk about people being "caned" is barbaric. This isn't Indonesia and we don't treat people who fail in such an underhanded way.
