Hey, Media Buzz can't always be first to report everything. But it's a pleasure to get beat by Zahira Torres, who reports in Wednesday's El Paso Times that:
She will receive an annual salary of $74,374. Maese-Tidwell is expected to start this week, officials said.
Maese-Tidwell has held a few different jobs since leaving TV, but seems like she has about 74,000 reasons to stay at this job for a while.

What is it with overpaid tv reporters at huge public entities. It is a racket.

Who the hell is Patricia Maese-Tidwell?

Patty used to be on all the time. She has light hair and freckled complexion. I never her saw her not sitting down though so I have no idea about her body.

I say congratulations. A gal like Patty, she's the solid earth. I have no idea who this Tidwell dude is - I assume he can bring it.

I worked with Patty back in the day, and she is very well deserving of the job! She is hardworking and always a pleasant and fun person to be around.

Looks like a number of posts that we on this thread earlier have disappeared. Has a moderator done some deleting? If so, could you please post a link to your terms of service or usage guidelines so that we may all know what to expect here?

Why corruption rules in El Paso? Reporters who know what is going on keep quiet and wait for a better opportunity. No money in telling the truth when you can keep quiet and become a well paid spin master on the government tit.

Don't bother expecting them. Given how much "reporting" is done here on everybody's Facebook page, I bet you would find the blogger and the subject of this post are Facebook friends.

Well that tears it! Why don't they just give us the link to the social networking site in question then? I prefer to get my information straight from the horses' mouth, so to speak, instead of from another part of the horse.

I was off Friday, so I didn't see these complaints until today. But I can assure no comments have been deleted here. So put away the crack before the crack puts you away.
What you are probably forgetting is that you saw the comments on the actual story, right here: http://www.elpasotimes.com/ci_12934642
There are a bunch of ridiculous comments there, so go enjoy.
I can also assure you I have never met Patricia, and you won't find her on my Facebook.
In closing, chill.

Good show, Jay!

Thank you, Mr. Koester, for setting me straight.
I looked back on the posts--and all Facebook related posts are the work of Gustavo Reveles--not you.
I apologize.

Those commenting on the Times article were adamant that this woman was gainfully employed in the seductive art of disrobing in front of men for cash prior to her entrance into the field of broadcast journalism. I was never fortunate enough to behold her in her birthday suit but I can certainly see why she would have been a hot commodity at one of our local clubs.

I remember Patty, she was one of my favorite news reporters over at KFOX. So she got married and scored a good job. Congratulations, Patty.

Congratulations Patricia, now if we can get you to smile more often than you used to on tv.
Posted by: Ghostbuster | August 08, 2009 at 10:55 AM
Don't be so hard on her! Have you ever stopped to think that maybe she can't smile because of painful dental work she had done or because she recently suffered a terrible tragedy or maybe she has chronic back pain? Not everyone has a vivacious smile but that doesn't mean they're not able to bring it, if you know what I mean.
