I have been told! Yes.. the film was much anticipated and as a good friend told the cynical "critic" in me, "It is a fairy tale with a fairy tale ending.... do not look for realism!" Point well taken. The men who weathered the shoe fashion storm, I salute you!
As for me, during my days of courtship, the e-mail break up letter didn't even exist. The scene where Big does not show up and she drops the phone literally made me jump out of my seat. It was nightmarish to watch such a horror. That is why I had trouble with Carrie accepting him back so easily. Even though months passed, and e-mails were never opened, will Big ever be anything but Big? He is fabulous to look at and face it, any man who buys a woman a closet is my kind of guy. Who needs a ring when you have room for your shoes?
My surprise is that according to the box office, women are not returning like the studio anticipated, which is why the film sank to fourth place in week two. It is still considered a "marginal success," but it was a very expensive film to make. With this in mind, will HBO make "The Sopranos Movie? " Stay tuned.

let's watch it together sister!
