A bloody Friday night fight between a Socorro couple drew a large crowd, including Socorro police officers, officials said.
At 7 p.m. Friday, officers arrived at the intersection of Rio Vista and North Loop and found a 37-year-old woman wearing blood-stained clothing fighting with her boyfriend, Tomas Rubio, 41.
The woman told police she went to Rubio's home earlier Friday evening. At the home, he allegedly grabbed her and refused to let her leave. She said the force of his grip left bruises on her home.
She managed to escape the home and fled the scene in her car. Rubio followed her to the intersection of Rio Vista and North Loop where she pulled over. As Rubio caught up to her, a large crowd began to gather, police said.
Officers arrested Rubio on suspicion of family violence and booked him into the El Paso County Jail. He posted bond and was released Saturday morning.
