Norma Chavez launches new website

State Rep. Norma Chavez  has created a new Web site,

normachavez.com. 

"We hope to expand the Web site so that visitors can register to vote, get

information on how to register your car, or get information on grants

available at UTEP," said Chavez, D-El Paso. 

 

WINNER DO-OVER, Nov. 2000 style

An astute blogger pointed out that the votes that drove La Casa Rosada into the winner's circle came after the Dec. 7, 11:59 deadline.
After checking all the times, I realized Tillzen was indeed correct. In the spirit of Democracy and out of fear of developing a Florida-style-elections reputation, I have re-evaluated the outcome of this election.
Only three votes came in before the deadline: two for Vaqueros & Wonkeros, one for La Casa Rosada.
So, Ali, while the last-ditch effort was notable, I'm afraid Tillzen was correct.
The rightful winner is Tillzen, and the new blog name will be Vaqueros & Wonkeros.

THE WINNER IS...

La Casa Rosada is the new name of your favorite El Paso blog about Austin politics.
Congratulations to Ali, who will live in infamy as a world famous blog namer.
Word from the techie types at the EPT is the new name should be up and running by Monday so Ali can brag properly.

In case you hadn't noticed, the name of this blog is pretty lame. Instead of coming up with something myself that might (emphasis on might) be less lame, I thought you all could probably come up with a creative monicker, something that links El Paso and Austin.
