State Sen. Jose Rodriguez, D-El Paso, will again serve as vice-chair of the Jurisprudence committee in the state Senate.
Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst on Friday appointed Rodriguez to the committee, which oversees legislation on civil legal issues. He also named Rodriguez to the Veterans Affairs and Military Installations, Criminal Justice and Government Organization committees.
Rodriguez will no longer serve on the Health and Human Services committee as he did last legislative session.
