All the local campaign finance reports are up on the Texas Ethics Commission Web site now.
None of the El Paso lawmakers brought in much money from January to the end of June. They were prohibited by law from taking campaign money during the legislative session, so they didn't have much time to raise any money.
State Rep. Joe Moody, D-El Paso, raised the most of all six local legislators, $16,950.
State Rep. Joe Pickett, D-El Paso, has the most money in his campaign account, $67,077.
I'm going to post all the totals below and also put up their full reports, so you can download them and peruse them at your leisure.
Here's a little teaser to get you into the reports. Can you guess who reported an expense to KFC for a "bucket of chicken" and then later reported an expense to Souper Salads for a "healthy lunch"?
Happy hunting!

Also, just for fun, I looked to see whether Republican Dee Margo had been raising any money for a 2010 race. Nope. Not yet, anyway.

Interesting that the only political party to spend less than they had on hand was the repub. Dee Margo.
How are these other politicians going to pay for their expences when they don't have the money to do so?
That's right we the taxpayers are going to have to come up with the money to pay for it.

Isn't the Cash on hand what's left over after the reporting period?
As for good ol Dee, we were all told he was to good for El Paso. http://newspapertree.com/opinion/3050-dee-margo-was-too-good-for-el-paso
Maybe he'll take on Rick and Kay for the Gov. That way he doesn't have to move again.
