It seems state Rep. Warren Chisum, R-Pampa, got some flak for comments he made in the last couple days indicating House Speaker Craddick could be down a few votes.
"Last night, I was misquoted on the Fort Worth Star-Telegram website as saying that Speaker Craddick had 53 votes. That number is a misinterpretation of what I said, and certainly not what I intended to say. The speaker carries all the Republicans except for the ABCs, and his position remains very strong."
I'm not here to argue about whether Chisum did or did not say anything he intended or didn't intend to say to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
What I find interesting is that last sentence. It's a beautiful example of the art of putting together a string of words that form a complete sentence but that mean absolutely nothing.
In this case, Chisum says that Craddick has the support of all the Republicans except those who don't support him.
At least it's truthful.

The Republican from Pampa, Texas, Rep. Warren Chisum,is a good example of how Republicans twist the words around. "Misquoted" replaces "a bald face lie!"
But than again, this is what the GOP is all about, isn't it? All lies!
The sad facts are, Democrats are not so far behind once the votes are counted.
Yes, indeed, Obama has his work cut out for him. with only a few more days before the number one liars of them all leave the White House, the nation shouldn't hold it's breath!
The hugh droppings the GOP elephant left on it's wake
only means Donkey Party Ticket better group together and come to terms on how to clean the mess up up or they too, will be the target of infuriated voters and taxpayers. Than it will be the donkeys who will do the braying the next time around.
I'm sorry, but that's the way it is in politics, especially Texas politics.
