Tom who?

House Speaker Tom Craddick is one of two Republicans who will be hosting an Austin fundraiser for Dee Margo next week, the Texas House candidate said today.
Margo said during his primary fight against state Rep. Pat Haggerty that he didn't know Craddick, though many of the embattled Midland Republican's friends financed his successful campaign.
"Heâs trying to get to know me," Margo said.
Craddick asked to host the event, Margo said, along with state Sen. Craig Estes, R-Wichita Falls, whom he called one of his "good buds."
Margo said he hasn't committed to vote for Craddick when he runs for re-election as House Speaker in 2009. In fact, Margo said, he didn't even have anything to do with the fundraiser.
"They asked to do it for me, I said fine. I have done zip on it; I'm just going to show up," he said. "From a Republican standpoint, I'm happy to have any Republican support."
Is Senator Graig Estes any relation to the infamous Billy Sol Estes?

Dee Margo is a lying sack of you- know-what. For a "Republican" of his wealth and means, and especially one who has thrown his hat into the political arena, to say he doesn't know Craddick is LYING, LYING, LYING!!!!! This state may be big, but it ain't that big.
JOE MOODY! JOE MOODY!

Only the most naive would believe Margo's claim that he doesn't know Tom Craddick.
It has become abundantly clear over the past two years that Dee Margo will tell any lie he thinks is necessary to help win an election.
El Paso would be ill served if Margo is elected to the Texas House from District 78.

I had occasion to call in to Margo on Gene Savard's talk show shortly before the primary, and asked if he'd set everyone's mind at ease and pledge to vote for anyone but Craddick as House Speaker
Margo replied that he didn't want to "close off any options"
At that point, it was official, Margo is definitely Craddick's lackey.
Oh well, let's see Margo get by in the General before Craddick can safely assume another vote for another dictatorial reign as House Speaker
