That didn't take long

Chris_bell Former Democratic gubernatorial candidate Chris Bell filed suit today against Gov. Rick Perry and the Republican Governors Association.
The lawsuit comes the same day as an Austin American-Statesman story  revealed that  Perry failed to report before the election last November who was behind a $1 million contribution from the Governors Association. According to the story, state law requires out-of-state political committees to disclose who their donors are.
Perry_thumb_2 A Perry spokesman told the Statesman the campaign made a mistake but that disclosing the information wouldn't have changed the outcome of the election in which Perry beat Bell and two independent candidates.
Bell's lawsuit and statement are here: Download pr_stmt_pop_111507.pdf
Bell alleges that Perry and the Governors Association violated Texas campaign regulations and financial reporting laws.

Why should anyone be surprised

Isn't that the way Republicans do things in Texas?
