Margo: No plans now for campaign

0123164_4 Dee Margo, chairman and CEO of JDW Insurance, said today he doesn't have any plans right now for another run at the Legislature.
Rumors have been circulating that the Margos were planning to sell their home, which is in state Rep. Paul Moreno's district, and move into state Rep. Pat Haggerty's district so Dee Margo could challenge him in the Republican Primary in March.
"It's news to me," Margo said.
Last year, Margo lost a challenge to Democratic state Sen. Eliot Shapleigh.
He and Adair, he said, are quite happy with the home they've lived in for 25 years and aren't seeking to move. As for running again this year, Margo said he has plenty on his plate already.

We lost a golden opportunity to have Dee represent us in the Texas Senate. I would hate to see Dee replace another good Republican but regardless, El Paso would be fortunate to have Dee represent our community in a state office.
