Two new restaurants have opened along Mesa Street: Lai Wah Yen, next to Shellsy Oyster Bar, and the Square Cow at 4172 N. Mesa.
The Square Cow is located at the Real Burrit-O's old spot near Al-Zaituna, and boasts meat ground in-house and a large selection of beer and wine. Chinese restaurant Lai Wah Yen is located where the former Bonny's Cafe/50's Cafe used to be.
What new restaurants are you interested in trying? Are there any new eateries in your neighborhood?

The Montana Steak House just opened where Jaxons used to be at the intersection of North Mesa and Castellano. I haven't seen reviews of it and am curious about the place.

I've been curious about it myself. I wonder how it compares to Corralito. I went there for the first time a few weeks ago and I was very impressed.

Montana's very old fashioned! Steaks not aged they are tenderized with MSG instead. Los corralitos was better quality in my opinion. Will prob not go back to Montana's but will go back to corralitos especially for their empanadas!

Avoid Montana Steak House unless you love gristle and uneducated servers.
